Obituary
Lloyd E. Benton, 46, died Saturday at his home in Zanesfield. He suffered a stroke of paralysis Thursday and never regained consciousness. He had not previously been ill.
Mr. Benton was born in Rushcreek Township, Logan County, August 19, 1999, son of Alvin and Catherine Benton. He was married to Thelma Ellis in Monroe, Mich., March 31, 1924, and they have spent practically their entire married lief in Bellefontaine and Logan county.
His wife survives, with the following sons and daughters; Wilbur Benton, stationed with the U. S. Army at Ft. Benjamin, Harrison, Ind., Ellen, Ralph, Clayton, Vernon and Rita, all at home. There remain also three sisters and one brother,
Funeral services were conducted at Bellefontaine, Tuesday and burial was made in the Bellefontaine cemetery.

Obituary
Former Bellefontaine resident Wilbur E. Benton died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 15 while a patient in Flower Hospital in Sylvania. Mr. Benton who was 58 years of age, had made his home in Fremont for the past 18 years.
While living in Bellefontaine, Mr. Benton assisted with the organization of the Little League baseball program and was a coach. He worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp.
He was born Nov. 6, 1924, the son of Lloyd and Thelma Ellis Benton and was united in marriage with Shirley Koenig of Dayton on Nov. 5, 1944.
His wife survives along with three children, Mary Mennisgen of Tiffin, Daniel Benton of Cincinnati and Michael Benton of Fremont; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Clayton Benton of Middletown, Pa., and Vernon Benton of Springfield; a sister, Rita Coyer of Bellefontaine; and an aunt, Mrs. Ralph Herren, also of Bellefontaine.
A funeral mass was celebrated Thursday Morning in the Sacred Heart Church at Fremont with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery.

A former Bellefontaine resident, died January 17, in Irving, Texas, where he resided. He had not been ill and his death was unexpected.
Born in Bellefontaine, February 27, 1930, he as a son of Lloyd and Thelma Ellis-Benton, both of whom preceded him in death.
Twice married, his first wife resides in Alger with their son, Jack Dean Benton. His second wife, Opal Benton, also survives with their two daughters and a son in Irving, Texas; three brothers, Wilbur Benton of Fremont, Clayton Benton of Middletown, Pa., and Vernon Benton of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Ellen) McGee of Bellefontaine and Mrs. Harold (Rita) Dowdy of Thompson and two aunts, Mrs Raph Herron and Mrs. Joseph Wortman, both of Bellefontaine.
Funeral services were held January 20 in Irving, Texas where burial was made.
