Mr. Frederick Lowell Wallace, 67, 508 Eddie Road, NE, Smyrna Beach, died Friday. A
native of Belle Center, Ohio, he moved to New Smyrna Beach 37 years ago from Ohio. He was a member of American Legion Post 17, New Smyrna Beach, and attended the Christian Missionary, Alliance Church, Edgewater. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired automobile mechanic. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Florence Marie; sister, Mrs. Mabel Johnson, Edgewater; brother, Alvin, Zanesville, Ohio. Bellefontaine - William Franklin Wallace, 76, of 116 Powell Ave., a retired employee of the former New York Central Railroad died Wednesday morning in Mary Rutan Hospital.
Mr. Wallace was born Jan. 27, 1902; in Kenton, Ohio, a son of Vern and Sylva Benton Wallace. In his younger years, he became a native of Bellefontaine.
Survivors include three sons, Harry L, of Merrit Island, Fla., Herbert L. of Russells Point, O., John of Tipp City, O.; five daughters, Mrs. Enis (Lois) Johnson of Fairfield, Mrs. James (Esther) Boyd and Mrs. Frank (Donna) Phillips of Bellefontaine, Mrs. Roger (Freda) Prall of Tipp City, Miss Mary Wallace of Merrit Island; a sister, Mrs. John (Mable) Bishop of Edgewater, Fla.; Two brother Alvin of Zanesfield, Ohio, and Fred of New Smyrna, Fla.; three brothers are deceased.
Services were held in Eichholtz Funeral Home by Rev. Fred W. Bates of Nazarene Church. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center, Ohio.
Pallbearers were John Wallace, Max Wallace, Carl Wallace, Tim Wallace, Dick Lavan and Tony Eaton.

Huntsville Native Succumbs Unexpectedly at Age of 50
Mrs. William Frank (Carrie) Wallace, 50, died unexpectedly of a coronary occlusion Friday at 9 p.m. at her home, 400 Washington Avenue, where she had sat down to read and watch television.
She had been ill of heart disease and under the care of a physician for several years but her health had seemed improved of recent date.
Mrs. Wallace was born in Huntsville, March 10, 1910, a daughter of Ernest and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Roach. She was a member of the Covenant United Presbyterian church.
Surviving with her husband are five daughters and two sons. They are Mrs. Leonard (Betty) Flaute, Botkins; Mrs. Rex (Virginia) Boyer, R. F. D. 1, Greenville; Mrs. Harry L. (Mary) Wallace, Van Wert, and Kenneth Loschert, Botkins, by her first marriage, and Mrs. Frank (Donna) Phillips, 100 1/2 Powers Street. Mrs. Roger (Freda) Prall, Brant, and John Wallace at home, by her second marriage. Remaining also are 22 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Eichholtz funeral home. Rev. James G. Patterson will officiate and burial will be made in Bell Center Fairview cemetery.
Friends may call at the late residence after 7 p.m. Saturday and until 10 a.m. Monday, then at the funeral home.

The death of Mrs. Elden Jay (Dora Genevieve) Stearns, 60, 512 West Auburn Avenue, occurred at 8:02 a.m. Monday in Mary Rutan Hospital where she was admitted on May 5 for medical treatment.
She was born May 16, 1903, in Santa Fe, a daughter of Charles E. and Emma Rhodes.
On March 30, 1942, she was married to Mr. Stearns who survives with two sons and two daughters by a previous marriage. They are Harry L. Wallace, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Herbert L. Wallace, R. F. D. 2, Lakeview; Mrs. Enis (Lois) Johnson, Hamilton, and Mrs. Robert (Esther M.) Garver, 508 North Detroit Street. Remaining also are 17 grandchildren.
The deceased was a member of the First Church of God where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in charge of the pastor, Rev. Malcolm McDonald. Burial will be made in the Rushsylvania cemetery.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Eichholtz funeral home and then after 12 noon Thursday at the church

Obituary Former Resident of Northwood Dies
Alton T. Wallace Succumbs Monday in Mississippi Hospital; Burial Here
Relatives and friends in this county were notified Monday night of the death of Alton T. Wallace, which occurred that afternoon in a hospital at Pascagoula, Miss. His demise followed an illness of three months with uremic poisoning.
The deceased was in his early forties and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wallace. The
family resided in Northwood for a number of years and Alton attended the local schools. During the war emergency, he was employed at Pascagoula in Jackson county, Miss., as a welder in a shipyard.
Surviving to mourn his loss are one daughter, Mrs. Erskin Anderson, with whom he resided; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Johnston, of Cincinnati; and five brothers, William Frank Wallace of Bellefontaine, Alvin Wallace of Huntsville, Fred Wallace of Miamisburg, and Kenneth and Howard Wallace of Indianapolis, Ind.
The body arrived in Bellefontaine this morning and was taken to the brother's home in Bellefontaine. Final rites will be conducted there Friday afternoon at two o'clock and burial will be made in the Fairview cemetery here by the Eichholtz funeral service.
Alton lived in Cincinnati at time of father's death.

Obituary Daniel Alvin Wallace
Services for Daniel Alvin Wallace, 77, of Alpine Village, Zanesfield, have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Van Horn Funeral Home in Lakeview. The Rev. Gerald Geiger of the Huntsville United Methodist Church will officiate and interment will take place in Huntsville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Wallace, a retired section foreman with the New York Central Railroad, died Saturday morning, May 14 of this year.
Born Feb. 19, 1906, in Logan County, he was the son of Vernon and Sylvia Benton Wallace. His first wife, Martha Herren Wallace, died in 1955. He later married Florence McNally and she survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Junior (Virginia) Hulbert of Lakeview, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Taylor and Mrs. Carol Graham, both of Bellefontaine, and Mrs. Jack (Mildred) Shepard of Huntsville; three sons, Robert V., Max L. and Carl E., all of Huntsville; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. John (Mabel) Bishop of Bellefontaine.
Mr. Wallace was a charter member of Huntsville Lions Club.

Logan County Native Succumbs To Long Illness
Martha Irene Wallace, 51, a native and life-long resident of Logan county, died of a heart attack Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at her home in Huntsville. She had been ill since 1943.
Mrs. Wallace was born Feb. 25, 1904, a daughter of John and Laura Jenkins Herren. She and Daniel Alvin Wallace were married June 30, 1924.
Surviving with her husband are a son, Robert, a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Virginia) Birt of Huntsville, a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Taylor, Rushsylvania and three sons and two daughters at home; Max, Carl, Donald, Mildred and Carol. Also surviving are five brothers, Chester and Robert Herren of Huntsville, Ralph and John of Bellefontaine, and Raymond of Van Beuren, Ark., two sisters, Mrs. Dick Harpest, R. F. D., New Hampshire, and Mrs. Mary Manahan, DeGraff, and two grandchildren. One sister and two brothers are deceased and a grandchild died last winter.
friends may call at the late home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Huntsville Methodist church of Which she was a member, with the pastor, Rev. Harold Stafford, officiating. Burial will be made in the Huntsville cemetery.

Florence M. Wallace, 82, the widow of Daniel Alvin Wallace, died at 10 p.m. Sunday, Dec 4, at San Antonio Professional Nursing Facility in Kenton. She resided at Alpine Village, Zanesfield.
The daughter of John F. and Cora Price, she was born Sept. 30, 1901, in Logan County. She and Mr. Wallace were united in marriage on June 7, 1957, and he died on May 14 of this year.
Mrs. Wallace was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Huntsville.
She is survived by four stepdaughters, Mrs. Junior (Virginia) Hulbert of Lakeview, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Taylor and Mrs. Carol Graham of Bellefontaine and Mrs. Jack (Mildred() Shepard of Huntsville; three stepsons, Robert V., Max L. and Carl E., all of Huntsville; 26 step grandchildren; 26 step great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Short of Columbus; and five brothers, Claude Price, Charles Price, John Price and Clyde Price of Columbus and Allen Price of Florida.
A stepson, two sisters and two brothers are deceased.
Van Horn Funeral Home in Lakeview is directing the arrangements and the family will receive friends there from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by the Rev. John B. Ellington, Jr. Interment will take place in Huntsville Cemetery.

Mabel Margaret Bishop, 79, of Kenton, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, at the Ravenwood Care Center, Kenton.
She was born Sept. 5, 1919, in Northwood, a daughter of Verme and Sylvia Benton Wallace.
On Dec. 8, 1981 in Portland, Texas, she married John Bishop, who survives.
Mrs. Bishop was a homemaker.
She also is survived by two sons, Howard A. (Cindy) Johnson of Bellefontaine and James R. (Lou) Johnston of Seven Miles; a daughter, Georgeanna (Ronald) Collett of Kenton; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers.
A memorial service is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Friday in the Schindewolf-Stevens-Scout Funeral Home, Kenton, with the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center, at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ravenwood Care Center Activities Fund.

On May 4, 1932, he married the former Iva B. Rice. They later divorced and she survives. He married Mabel Wallace in Portland, Texas, in December 1981 and she preceded him in death Feb. 14, 2000.
He also is survived by six daughters, Donna (Robert) Yelton of Bellefontaine, Shirley (Gary) Wellmeier of Urbana, Betty (William) Hartley of DeGraff, Martha (William) Pence of Maplewood, Linda (John) Jones of Belleview, Fla., and Joy (Jerry) Arnett of Quincy; one son, John (Chris) Bishop of Richwood; one sister, Phoeby Spangler of Florida; 29 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Georgeanne (Ron) Collett of Kenton; and two step-sons, Howard A. (Cindy) Johnston of Bellefontaine and James (Lou) Johnson of Hamilton; seven step-grandchildren and seven great-step-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted at a later date. The Schindewolf-Stevens-Stout Funeral Home in Kenton handled arrangements.
