Ann spent 6 years in the Air Force and held the rank of sergant. She was an airman as well as a nurse.
She went to Texas for bootcamp. Sometime in her years of service she went to the Philapines, there she learned to parachute. While doing this she broke her ankle. Also while in the Philapines, she saw her uncle Ray. Ann became ill with Melanoma cancer in 1983. She passed away in Belflower, CA at the age of 31. She left 2 children Donny and Kimberly which Ann's sister Terry and her husband Steve, raised.
Donny changed his name to Starkey after he got out of high school. Kimberly decided not to as she thought she would be getting married someday.
