From John Scott Davenport, 1 June 1985: On 17 Aug 1940 Rev. H. R. Burkett wrote John M. Burkett of Washington, D. C., describing his trip from Wabasha, Minn, of copying from an old family Bible at the home of John E. Fouts, 324 Infermary Road, Dayton, OH., the...list of ch., saying the top of the page was torn off and that it is written in German script. The list is copied verbatim from the handwriting of Miss Sarah Ida Williams, Rt. #1, Cambidge City, IN., "The old Fouts Bible in possession of descendants in Middletown, OH, give the records of births of this Fouts family, but does not give the name of the parents....md Jacob Yount".

Esther's will recorded (in German) May 30, 1825. Recorded 16 June 1825. The estate of Jacob Yount was administered the September term of court 1813 by Esther Yount, and in 1815 January term Esther is guardian of a minor, Peter Yount, aged 19 years (born 1796). In 1817, May term we find Jacob Yount age 17 yrs (born 1800) heir of Jacob Yount. From the land records we find that children of Jacob and Esther (Fouts) Yount to be: Mary Yount, who married Jacob Wolf; Catherine Yount, who married David Hoover and settled in Wayne County IN; Joseph Yount (no record); Peter Yont born in 1796; Sarah, married Henry Gebhart, born in Berks county, PA 1799 (son of John George Gebhart to Ohio 1804); Jacob Yount, born 1800 died 1894 married Rebecca Waymire.
